My name's Jerry, and I'm the solitary sound specialist at Vesio. On location, or in the studio, I love capturing, designing or composing amazing sounds.
Rehearsals for Nights 1-4 performances
I've been lucky enough to work on some great shoots in the last couple of years, many of which involving major West-End musicals and productions. My knowledge of music has allowed me to blur the line between sound recordist and recording engineer, as most of my work these days involves singers, drum kits, pianos and almost any other orchestral instrument you can think of! That said, I still really enjoy getting my sound bag on and holding my boom for hours on end. I'm often working with the team at Waitress, and have recently been on set with the cast from the Back to the Future musical!
When the shoot is finished, and the edit is nearing completion, the work of the sound designer begins. Between my enormous sound library, my synthesisers, and my orchestral composing software, I'm able to create sounds you wouldn't believe (until you hear them, of course). Most of my post-production work is in Pro Tools, but I am just as happy in Logic, Audition, Audacity, Reaper, or Ableton. My recent post-production work includes sound design for TM Lewin, mixing & mastering for the Back to the Future Musical, and composing for Rotten Luck (short film).
